Credit: Johnny BuzzerioAlice in Chains will be on hand to root for their hometown Seattle Seahawks when the defending Super Bowl champions take on the Green Bay Packers at this Sunday's NFC Championship game. The Seattle grunge veterans will perform during the game's halftime show.
The Seahawks also hosted the NFC Championship last year -- that game's halftime entertainment was provided by hip-hop duo, and Emerald City natives Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Heart's Anne Wilson performed "The Star-Spangled Banner" prior to the game.
To open the 2014 season, Soundgarden performed prior to the Seahawks first game as defending Super Bowl champions.
The NFC Championship will air January 18 at 3:05 p.m. ET on FOX. If the Seahawks beat the Packers, they will go on to face the winner of the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts game in Super Bowl 49 on February 1. Lenny Kravitz will join pop star Katy Perry during the Super Bowl's halftime show.
