After he's done playing power forward at the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game tonight, Win Butler will play another role: barista. The Arcade Fire frontman will be serving coffee at the La Colombe cafe in New York City on Saturday, the coffee shop announced on their Instagram.
Butler and La Columbe are celebrating the launch of their RaRa Haitian Coffee, which was grown in Haiti and roasted in Philadelphia.
"I'd heard about what La Colombe was doing with their coffee academy so I approached them to see if they'd make this coffee for me, because coffee is so important to Haiti, and Haiti is so important to me and everyone in the band," says Butler. Arcade Fire's debut album, Funeral, includes a song called "Haiti."
The time of Butler's shift at La Colombe will be announced Saturday morning.
Butler will play alongside Common, Kevin Hart, Nick Cannon and more at the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game, which airs tonight, February 13, at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
