Bastille Premieres Strange, Cinematic “Blame” Video

ABC/Randy HolmesBastille has premiered the video for "Blame," a song from their new album Wild World. The cinematic visual, which is streaming now on YouTube, follows a cult in which members make out with a sentient bowl of water. If that sounds pretty strange, frontman Dan Smith agrees with you.

"It's nuts," Smith tells NME of the video. "It's nice to mess with people's expectations of us and use the songs as a springboard to create something else."

"'Blame' [is] a really important tune for us but it's also one of the oldest on [Wild World]," he adds. "It's been quite fun bringing a whole different side to it. Some of the ideas for the video are things we'd thought about for a while but there's definitely stuff that's come out of it that I was not expecting!"

Bastille will be touring arenas across North America next year in support of Wild World, starting March 24 in Toronto.
