ABC/Randy HolmesBroken Bells are officially back.

The long-dormant duo, made up of The Shins frontman James Mercer and producer Brian "Danger Mouse" Burton, has released a new song called "Shelter." You can download the track now via digital outlets.

"Shelter" is the first new song from Broken Bells in three years, following the 2015 one-off single "It's That Talk Again." The band's most recent album is their 2014 sophomore effort, After the Disco.

Since then, Mercer and The Shins released a new album called Heartworms in 2017. Burton, meanwhile, has been working with a variety of artists, including a new collaboration with Yeah Yeah Yeahs vocalist Karen O.
