Coldplay Pledges Support to Refugee Rescue Charity

Image Group LA/ABCColdplay has announced that they will be long-term patrons of the Migrant Offshore Aid Station, or MOAS, a charity dedicated to helping refugees and migrants who are escaping war and persecution by sea.

In commemoration of the partnership, MOAS has shared a short film featuring footage from a refugee rescue, soundtracked by an a cappella version of Coldplay's song "Don't Panic."

"Every year, MOAS rescue thousands of people who risk death at sea while searching for a better life," frontman Chris Martin says in a statement. "But for an accident of geography, those people could be us and we could be them. For this reason, we're proud to support MOAS' life-saving work."
