Coldplay has released a re-recorded version of their A Head Full of Dreams track "Everglow." The new version takes a much more stripped-back approach, focusing almost entirely on Chris Martin's vocals and piano.
The inspiration to record a minimalist version of "Everglow" struck Coldplay after their Glastonbury headlining set in June. During the show, a technical problem forced Martin to perform an unrehearsed solo rendition of the song. The band ended up loving the stripped-back nature of Martin's performance, and decided to record a new version of "Everglow" in a similar style.
The new version of "Everglow" is available now on all digital and streaming platforms.
Coldplay will be touring North America in continued support of A Head Full of Dreams next summer.
