Image Group LA/ABCThe Global Citizen Festival, which has been taking place in the U.S. for a number of years, will stage its first European even in Hamburg, Germany on July 6, and Coldplay will be one of the headliners.
The free ticketed event will take place the night before the 2017 G20 Summit, where world leaders will meet to talk about their Global Goals for Sustainable Development. The concertgoers will urge the leaders to address education, health and development issues, as well as the refugee crisis. 9,000 free tickets will be distributed to fans who pledge activism.
Other headliners include hitmaking DJ duo The Chainsmokers, who just released a new single with Coldplay, and pop singer Ellie Goulding. For more info on the festival, visit GlobalCitizen.org.
