Corey Taylor Reveals Title of Stone Sour Covers Album

"[Drummer] Roy [Mayorga]'s been slowly but surely kind of building his house studio," Corey Taylor told Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta on his podcast, The Jasta Show. "And that's why it's called Meanwhile in Burbank, because, without giving too much away, that's where Roy lives -- he lives in the [San Fernando] Valley -- so that's why we call it that. Because it's, like, that's what we're doing right now."

Taylor also explained that recording a covers album is something he and Stone Sour always wanted to do.

"We've been talking about doing [a covers album] forever," he said. "I mean, this is something that we've been talking about since the first album came out, with Stone Sour. We've always wanted to do this. Even as people have come, people have gone, this is still something we've always come back to, and we just never had the opportunity to do it. And we just kind of said, 'Well, screw it.'"

Meanwhile, Taylor's other band, Slipknot, just released their latest album, .5: The Grey Chapter, last week. The record, the band's fifth, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making it Slipknot's second straight number one album.
