David Bowie to Be Honored by Lady Gaga at Grammy Awards

Terry O'Neill/Getty ImagesIt was rumored, but now it's been confirmed: Lady Gaga will offer a tribute to the late rock legend David Bowie at this year's Grammy Awards.

The pop superstar's tribute is described as "experiential," and "a multi-sensory testament" to Bowie's "incredible artistry" and "limitless creativity."  The musical director for the tribute is Chic frontman Nile Rodgers, who produced Bowie's smash 1983 album, Let's Dance.

Bowie, who died January 10, two days after his 69th birthday, was both a Grammy winner and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.  Gaga, who's often cited Bowie as one of her biggest influences, has won six Grammys and is a nominee again this year.

The Grammys, hosted by LL Cool J, will air February 15 on CBS.
