Credit: We Are the RhoadsDeath Cab for Cutie has revealed the first single from their forthcoming album, Kintsugi. Entitled "Black Sun," the new track is currently streaming via an atmospheric lyric video on YouTube.
"Black Sun" will make its late-night debut this week when DCFC guest on The Late Show with David Letterman January 29 and on The Late Late Show January 30.
Kintsugi will be released March 31. The album will be available for pre-order starting January 27 on iTunes.
In other Death Cab for Cutie news, the band has announced the first leg of their North American tour in support of Kintsugi. The tour will begin April 23 in Kansas City, Missouri and will circle back to St. Louis, Missouri on May 13. DCFC has also scheduled shows on July 12 in Los Angeles October 3 for a hometown show in Seattle, Washington.
Tickets will go on pre-sale starting January 28 at 10 a.m. local time via DeathCabforCutie.com/shows.
