The album, featuring the hits "Centuries" and "Uma Thurman," sold 218,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music.

American Beauty/American Psycho comes two years after FOB's 2013 comeback album, Save Rock and Roll, which also debuted at number one. The band grabbed their first number-one album with 2007's Infinity on High, featuring the single "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race."

In other chart news, both The Decemberists and Marilyn Manson make top-10 appearances on the Billboard 200 for their albums What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World and The Pale Emperor, respectively. The Decemberists' release came in at number seven, giving the Portland band their second straight top-10 debut, following 2011's The King is Dead. Manson, meanwhile, scored his sixth-straight top-10 debut -- and eighth overall -- with The Pale Emperor, which bows at number eight.
