Image Courtesy of Crush ManagementFall Out Boy has been tapped to perform on the 2015 People's Choice Awards telecast, airing January 7 on CBS.
"As a past People’s Choice Awards winner, Fall Out Boy will see firsthand how much their fans love them when they take that stage live for the first time at the show," says executive producer Mark Burnett in a statement.
The band won for Favorite Alternative Band in 2014, beating out Imagine Dragons, Mumford & Sons, Muse and Paramore. The Favorite Alternative Band category seems to have disappeared for the 2015 ceremony, leaving only Coldplay and Imagine Dragons, who are both nominated in the Favorite Group category, as the lone representatives of rock. Coldplay's Ghost Stories was also nominated for Favorite Album.
A few weeks after their performance, Fall Out Boy will be releasing their new album, American Beauty/American Psycho. Featuring the single "Centuries," American Beauty/American Psycho will be released January 20.
