“Father of the Bride”: Vampire Weekend’s album coming this spring

Monika Mogi Earlier this week, Vampire Weekend teased that the initials of the title of their long-awaited new album were "FOTB" -- and now we know what that stands for.

Father of the Bride, the band's first release since 2013's Modern Vampires of the City, will be out this spring, and will sport 18 tracks, including two that have just been released: "Harmony Hall" and "2021."

The title of the album was apparently chosen by Ezra Koenig years ago, prior to, "living the experiences and observations that would inform" the album, according to a press release. Those experiences included winning a Grammy, co-writing and producing the song "Hold Up" for Beyonce, hosting a show on Apple's Beats 1 and working on the Netflix anime series Neo Yokio.

"Harmony Hall" includes production by Rostam Batmanglij, who left the band in 2016, but said he'd continue to collaborate with Koenig.
