Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold Writes New Songs for Off-Broadway Play

Image Courtesy of Sub PopFleet Foxes may not have released a new album since 2011's Helplessness Blues, but that doesn't mean fronmtan Robin Pecknold has stopped writing. In fact, Pecknold has written a bevy of new, original songs for Wyoming, an upcoming off-Broadway play by his cousin, Brian Watkins.

Wyoming will be playing at New York City's Theater for the New City, January 15-31. There are no plans to record to show, so you may have to attend to hear some new Pecknold material.

Helplessness Blues peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 and gave Fleet Foxes their first Grammy nomination.

As for the other Fleet Foxes members, drummer Josh Tillman left the band in 2012 to pursue a solo career using the name Father John Misty. Father John Misty's second album, I Love You, Honeybear, will be released on February 10.
