Florence + the Machine Announce New Album, “How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful”; Release First Single

Credit: Alex LakeFlorence + the Machine have officially announced the release of their third album. The album is called How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful and will be released on June 2.

In addition to the album announcement, Florence has also dropped the first single from How Big, titled "What Kind of Man." The single is a fiery contrast to the more orchestral title track, which was revealed earlier this week. You can watch the dramatic video for "What Kind of Man," which features car crashes, baptism, and a whole lot of intensity from Florence Welch herself, on YouTube.

How Big will be produced by Markus Dravs, who has worked with Björk, Arcade Fire and Coldplay.

Florence + the Machine will be headlining the Coachella, Governors Ball and Bonnaroo festivals, with more North American dates to be announced. Those who pre-order the new album via the band's website will have exclusive pre-sale access to tickets  for upcoming tour dates.
