Credit: Hayley MaddenFor their upcoming show in Indianapolis, Foo Fighters will be joined by Naked Raygun, the first band Dave Grohl ever saw in concert. The Chicago punk band will open for the Foos on August 27 at the Klipsch Music Center.
Grohl saw Naked Raygun in 1983 at the Cubby Bear in Chicago. When Foo Fighters played the Cubby Bear last year to celebrate the premiere of their Sonic Highways TV series, Grohl brought out Naked Raygun frontman Jeff Pezzati to sing the song "Surf Combat."
Naked Raygun will also open for the Foos at their show at Chicago's Wrigley Field on August 29 alongside Cheap Trick.
Foo Fighters will resume their summer tour on August 12 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Royal Blood will open for the Foos through their August 25 show in Pittsburgh.
