Foo Fighters announce D.C. Jam festival featuring Chris Stapleton, Band of Horses, The Go-Gos & more

Credit: Brantley GutierrezFoo Fighters will celebrate their 25th anniversary -- and America's birthday -- with the D.C. Jam July 4 bash.

The stacked event will take place on Independence Day at Washington, D.C.'s FedExField stadium. Dave Grohl and company headline the lineup, which also includes Chris Stapleton, Band of Horses, The Go-Go's, Pharrell Williams, The Regrettes, Radkey and more.

Other activities include a BBQ competition, a tailgate party, rides and games.

Various pre-sales, including a Foo Fighters fan pre-sale, begin Tuesday at noon ET. Tickets go on sale to the general public at Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. ET.

Foo Fighters released their debut album on July 4, 1995. They previously celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2015 with a similarly gigantic event at D.C.'s RFK Stadium, which also featured performances by Heart, Joan Jett, Buddy Guy, Gary Clark Jr. and LL Cool J.

D.C. Jam is an offshoot of the Foos' Cal Jam festival, which was held in 2017 and 2018 in San Bernardino, California.
