Former Cake Drummer Peter McNeal Sentenced to 15 Years for Molesting Toddler

Image Courtesy of Capricorn RecordsPeter McNeal, a former drummer for the band Cake, has been sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for molesting a three-year-old girl during a Thanksgiving 2009 party, the Los Angeles Times reports. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Fred Wapner also ordered McNeal, 48, to register as a sex offender for life.

In March 2013, McNeal was found guilty of one count of oral copulation of a child 10 years old or younger.

McNeal joined Cake, best known for their hits "The Distance" and "Short Skirt/Long Jacket," in 2001. He was the band's third drummer, following Todd Roper and original member Frank French. McNeal left the band in 2004.
