Image Group LA/ABCGreen Day made their daytime TV debut Tuesday afternoon on The Ellen Degeneres Show. The band played their classic hit "American Idiot," as well as their Revolution Radio single "Still Breathing." You can watch the performances now via Ellen.tv.
During the rendition of "American Idiot," frontman Billie Joe Armstrong slipped in a jab at President-elect Donald Trump, singing "Can you hear the sound of hysteria? The subliminal mind-Trump America." Green Day hasn't been shy about their politics lately -- when they performed "Bang Bang" on the American Music Awards last month, the band burst into a chant of "No Trump, no KKK, no fascist U.S.A."
Green Day will be touring North American next year in support of Revolution Radio. The trek kicks off March 1 in Phoenix, Arizona.
