ABC/Fred LeeGreen Day has unveiled the cover art for their forthcoming single, "Bang Bang," and with it a possible hint at the title of their new album.
The cover, which you can view on frontman Billie Joe Armstrong's Instagram, features the title "Bang Bang" in big block letters filled with variations of the phrase "Rev Rad" in graffiti. In the caption, Armstrong writes, "'BANG BANG' artwork...single...#bangbang #revrad #mynewband."
The cover reveal, along with the caption, has led some commenters to believe that "Rev Rad" is short for "Revolution Radio," and that it could be the title of Green Day's new album. Indeed, the artwork does appear to show the word "revolution" hidden among all the "rev rads." Additionally, Green Day recently shared a photo of a rehearsal set list, which lists both "Bang Bang" and "Rev Rad."
While Green Day hasn't made any official announcement regarding an album title, one thing is for sure: "Bang Bang" will be released August 11.
