Iggy Pop to Perform at SXSW with “Post Pop Depression” Band

Rekords Rekords/Loma Vista/Caroline InternationalIggy Pop will be making an appearance at the 2016 South by Southwest Music Festival in support of his forthcoming new album, Post Pop Depression. The Godfather of Punk will headline a showcase at the festival on March 16 with his Post Pop Depression band, which includes Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme.

The Post Pop Depression live lineup also includes The Dead Weather guitarist Dean Fertita and Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders, both of whom played on the album, plus Homme's Queens of the Stone Age band mate Troy Van Leeuwen and journeyman guitarist Matt Sweeney.

Following the SXSW performance, Pop and his band will embark on a full-length tour, which begins March 28 in Seattle. The North American run concludes April 28 in Los Angeles, after which the band will take a trip to Europe.

Post Pop Depression will be released on March 18.
