Is Jack White Working on an André 3000 Album?

ABC/Nicole WilderIs Jack White working on Outkast rapper André 3000's long-awaited solo album? It certainly looks that way, if comedian Chris Rock's Twitter is to be believed.

Rock has posted a photo of himself alongside White and Andre, plus fellow comedian Dave Chappelle, producer D-Nice and A Tribe Called Quest member Jarobi White. In the caption, Rock writes the group was "hard at work on the new André 3000 album."

Given that rumors of an André 3000 solo album have been flying around for years, coupled with the fact that Rock posted the photo, there's a possibility that the comedian is just trying to pull a fast one on everyone. However, André did recently tell Billboard that he's "always recording," and that he'd "like to put out some kind of music project, but we'll see."

If the album is actually in the works and White really is a part of it, the former White Stripes frontman does have some experience in the hip-hop world. Last year, his record label Third Man Records re-issued Jay Z's album Magna Carta…Holy Grail on vinyl. White and Jay have also worked on a new album together in the past, though the fruits of that collaboration have yet to see the light of day.

Meanwhile, André 3000's Outkast band mate Big Boi is currently working with Phantogram on their collaborative project, Big Grams.
