Are you ready for new Jack White music? The ex-White Stripes frontman says his next solo album is "practically done."
Speaking to Billboard at Detroit's Making Vinyl conference Monday, during which he gave the keynote speech, White revealed he's putting the "finishing touches" on the follow-up to 2014's Lazaretto.
"It's a bizarre one," White says of the album. "I've just got to let it settle. I need to listen to it by myself. I haven't been able to listen to it by myself for awhile."
White previously characterized the album as "good gardening music or roofing music or...back-alley stabbing music."
Hopefully, the new album, which is due out in 2018, brings White back to the road -- he's been on a touring hiatus since 2015.
