Last week, Thirty Seconds to Mars declared that they were about to make a "big announcement," which led to rumblings that Jared Leto's band might be releasing a new album. The announcement turned out to be the 2016 edition of Thirty Seconds to Mars' Camp Mars wilderness retreat, but it looks like new material may be on the horizon as well.
On Instgram, Leto has posted a photo of himself behind a studio microphone and captioned it with the hashtag #MarsIsComing.
Thirty Seconds to Mars' last new album was 2013's Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams, which debuted at a career-high number six on the Billboard 200.
While you wait for new music, the full details of Camp Mars 2016 will be revealed on November 4. The inaugural edition of the wilderness retreat was held this past August in Malibu, California. The three-day event included musical performances and DJ sets, plus camping staples like hiking, climbing and tug of war.
