Kid Rock has learned a lot in his 25-year career. For example, he learned how not to treat roadies from none other than Limp Bizkit.
"I always told my band, 'You see how Limp Bizkit treats their roadies and s**t? We don't do that,'" Rock tells Rolling Stone. "I was like, 'These people are helping us. They're not trying to harm us. We're all working together.'"
As for a band who set a good example, Rock points to Metallica.
"Then we saw Metallica, and they treat their people great," he says. "We want to be like them. We want to treat everybody good. Don't spit on people. Don't throw microphones at them. Don't get pissed off. We want to go a long way, and that's not how you treat people."
As for other things that Rock likes, he's also become a fan of Hozier, who he saw perform on Saturday Night Live.
"I saw that kid and I'm like, 'Holy s**t. I don't know who the f**k that is but that motherf***er is the best thing I've seen in years,'" Rock says of the "Take Me to Church" singer.
Rock's latest album, First Kiss, is out now.
