Paul Archuleta/FilmMagicLinkin Park's Mike Shinoda will be a keynote speaker at the 2017 Midem music industry trade event, held June 6-9 in Cannes, France.
"The DNA of Linkin Park has always been integrating forward-thinking culture, sounds and technology into our musical landscape," says Shinoda in a statement. "We are always seeking new ways to release our music and connect with our global fan base. Interacting with bright minds and partnering with innovators that authentically connect with the band keeps us inspired and part of the changing tide."
During the conference, Shinoda will also be a jury member for Midemlab, a competition for music-related startup companies.
In other Linkin Park news, the band will debut the music video for their new track "Heavy" this Thursday, March 9. "Heavy" is the lead single from Linkin Park's forthcoming album One More Light, which will be released May 19.
