ABC/Randy HolmesKirk Hammett is parting ways with a part of his classic car collection. The Metallica guitarist is selling his 1968 Jaguar XKE Series 1.5 2+2, which you can bid on now via eBay.
"Kirk is a living legend in the music industry,” says Alex Manos, owner of Beverly Hills Car Club, which is handling the sale of the Jaguar. "This car embodies his sense of style and his appreciation for quality."
The car has been repainted a "glossy black" over its original "opalescent silver blue" color. Bids will be accepted until today at 4:45 p.m. ET.
His Jaguar XKE isn't the only big item Hammett has tried to movie lately: according to Curbed San Francisco, the guitarist recently put his home in the city's Sea Cliff neighborhood up for sale.
Hammett and the rest of Metallica will be touring stadiums across North America in support of their new album Hardwired...to Self-Destruct this spring and summer, starting May 10 in Baltimore.
