Image Courtesy of Epic Records2015 is looking like a good year for Modest Mouse fans. The band has officially announced they'll be releasing their first new album in eight years, entitled Strangers to Ourselves, on March 3.
Strangers to Ourselves is now available for pre-order via iTunes and Modest Mouse's Web store. While the band has yet to reveal a track list for the album -- the iTunes page just lists track numbers -- we do know one song: the single, "Lampshades on Fire." You can listen to it now on Vevo.
Modest Mouse's last album, 2007's We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, featured Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. As for any special guests on Strangers to Ourselves, rumor has it that Nirvana's Krist Novoselic and Outkast's Big Boi contributed to the album.
In support of Strangers to Ourselves, Modest Mouse says they'll be hitting the road in 2015. Tour dates will be announced soon.
