Through his Soundcloud page, Angelakos has released a series of demos, including "Somewhere," which is a synth-heavy, high-pitched interpretation of singer Barry Manilow's "Somewhere Down the Road."
Though it's unclear what exactly these demos are going to be a part of, the tracks are listed under Angelakos' Eastern Shift project. So far, the Eastern Shift playlist is filled with colorfully-titled demos, including "But Will He Love Me Like Calvin Loves Alice?" and "Higher Than a Damn Eagle (Happy New Year)."
The new music comes on the heels of a Facebook post simply captioned "Passion Pit 2015," indicating that a new Passion Pit album will be released in the coming year. The post is accompanied by a photo of Angelakos in front of whiteboard featuring what are most likely track names.
Passion Pit's last full-length album was 2012's Gossamer, which peaked at number four on the Billboard 200.
