Credit: James MinchinThe inaugural Rock in Rio USA festival has partnered with Music for Relief to plant trees in the U.S., including restoring areas burned in California wildfires. In order raise money for their efforts, Rock in Rio USA will be auctioning a guitar signed by festival headliners Linkin Park.
At a press conference held Thursday, Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda and the band Echosmith were on hand to sign the first line of guitars to be auctioned. Bidding will take place on-site at the festival and online.
Other items in the auction that have been announced so far include a signed guitar by No Doubt.
Rock in Rio USA will be held May 8-9 and May 15-16 in Las Vegas. Metallica, Coheed and Cambria, Deftones, Rise Against, Bleachers, The Pretty Reckless, Of Mice & Menand Foster the People are also on the lineup.
