On their Facebook page, the band posted a photo of the number "5," along with the date August 7 and the words "Get ready." The post is also accompanied by the hashtag #Shinedown5, referring to the band's promised fifth album.
In June, Shinedown released "Cut the Cord," their first new song in three years. The track has already reached the top of Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart, giving the band an impressive total of nine number-one singles on the chart.
Although the Facebook post is most likely teasing new album information, such as a title, track list or release date, August 7 is a Friday, which is the newly implemented global album release day. Perhaps Shinedown will pull a Beyonce and unveil the entire album on August 7.
Whenever it will be released, it will be the band's first album since 2012's Amaryllis.
