Slipknot Notches Second-Straight Number-One Album on “Billboard” 200

Image Courtesy of Roadrunner RecordsSix years after Slipknot's 2008 album, All Hope Is Gone, the band returned last week with their fifth album, .5: The Gray Chapter. Their absence has apparently made the heart grow fonder for Slipknot fans: the album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.

All Hope Is Gone also scored the top spot on the chart in its first week back in 2008, making .5: The Gray Chapter Slipknot's second-straight number-one album.

Slipknot now has four straight top-ten appearances on the Billboard 200, going back their 2001 sophomore album, Iowa.

The band is currently making their way through North America alongside Korn on their aptly named "Prepare for Hell" tour, which wraps up December 7 with a stop in Lowell, Massachusetts.
