Stone Temple Pilots to Reunite with Chester Bennington for Charity Performance

Scott Legato/Getty ImagesWhile they are currently on the hunt for a new lead singer, Stone Temple Pilots will be reuniting with their last frontman for a one-off performance at a charity concert. The band will be playing with Chester Bennington at the From Bach to Rock benefit concert on March 26, which will raise funds for Palos Verdes Peninsula public schools in California.

Bennington joined STP in 2013 after founding frontman Scott Weiland was dismissed from the band. However, Bennington left STP last November in order to solely focus on his work with Linkin Park.

Weiland then passed away in December. Earlier this month, STP announced that they are looking for a new singer, and they're asking you to audition for the spot. On their Facebook, the band recently gave an update on how the search is going so far.

"We are blown away with all of your responses and equally impressed with some great talent," they wrote. "Thank you. We will push on as there are many, many more of you to see and hear."
