The Monkees Share Rivers Cuomo-Penned Tune, “She Makes Me Laugh”

ABC/Randy HolmesWeezer frontman Rivers Cuomo wrote a song called "She Makes Me Laugh" for Good Times!, the forthcoming album from The Monkees. Now, you can listen to the upbeat, summery track at RollingStone.com.

While "She Makes Me Laugh" shares more than a few characteristics with a classic '60s Monkees tune, Cuomo's contribution is definitely felt in lyrics like "We'll have a dinner date tonight and play some scrabble with the guys, and wear our pink party hats."

"I'm super stoked to be writing a song for the Monkees," says Cuomo. "I've always identified with their musical aesthetic -- the chord changes and melodies."

Good Times! also features songs written by Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard and Noel Gallagher. The album will be released May 27.
