The Strokes’ Nick Valensi Recovers Missing Guitar

Chelsea Lauren/WireImageThe Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi has finally been reunited with his beloved orange Epiphone guitar. Unfortunately, the guitar, which was lost last month while being shipped from New York City to Los Angeles, wasn't returned in the best shape.

"Sadly [the guitar] is severely water damaged, and covered in rust , with no strings," Valensi's wife Amanda de Cadenet writes on her Instagram. "Just maybe it can survive after some TLC." The caption accompanies a photo of Valensi hugging the string-less guitar.

Back when the guitar went missing, The Strokes asked for help in locating it and offered a $5,000 reward to anyone who found it. There's no word on who returned the guitar to Valensi, but de Cadenet does write, "Nick wanted to thank each and every one of you who helped hunt for his guitar."

The Strokes are currently working on a new album, their first since 2013's Comedown Machine.
