Third Man Records to Release Recordings of Jack White’s Pre-White Stripes Bands

Monica Schipper/FilmMagicBefore Jack White hit it big with The White Stripes, he was a member of many different local Detroit bands. Live recordings of some of those bands will now be released as a part of the next package in White's Third Man Records Vault subscription service.

Included in the package will be live recordings from White's pre-White Stripes bands Two Star Tabernacle, The Go and Jack White and the Bricks, who were simply known as just the "Jack White Band" during their brief existence. The recordings include some early versions of what would eventually become The White Stripes songs, including "Hotel Yorba" and "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground."

The Vault package also will include a seven-inch vinyl single featuring The Dead Weather's "Let Me Through" and "Be Still," plus a Third Man Records "challenge coin," which is good for 10 percent off any purchase at the Third Man Records stores in Nashville or Detroit. It can also be used as 45 adapter for your turntable.
