Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee decided to use the meme to poke fun of Metallica's Lars Ulrich. On his Twitter, Lee posted a photo of Ulrich with text that read "Straight Outta Tempo."
While Ulrich has not responded to the jab, Lee received some backlash for his post, but he insists that it's just a "joke." "To all you idiots that think any of my posts are serious, get a f****** life!," Lee writes. "You think any of it matters? It's a joke."
Both Metallica and Motley Crue played the Rock in Rio festival over the weekend, which perhaps inspired Lee to create the "Straight Outta Tempo" post.
In other Lars Ulrich news, the film Mission to Lars, which documents a Metallica super-fan's quest to meet the drummer, will be released on iTunes on September 25.
