Twenty One Pilots “Definitely Could Add More Members” in the Future

ABC/Randy HolmesWhile Twenty One Pilots is currently comprised of just two members, vocalist Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun, the band toured as a trio in their early days. As for whether Joseph and Dun might add another member or two to the group, Joseph says he's open to the idea.

"We come from a sensory-overload culture, and so we wonder if one guy on drums and one guy dancing around is enough," Joseph tells Rolling Stone. "Adding guys was something we always were curious about. We decided for this run specifically to stay a two-piece. In the future, we definitely could add members."

"When Josh and I play at the same time, I don't want to be too dramatic, but something magical happens," he adds. "You're in sync with somebody. To add people to that would only make that feeling even more potent."

Elsewhere in the interview, Dun answers whether or not he's dating Halsey -- he's not -- and whether Joseph would be interested in recording another solo album -- also no.

This summer, Twenty One Pilots will embark on their massive Emotional Roadshow tour in continued support of their latest album, Blurryface. The trek kicks off May 31 in Cincinnati, Ohio and will wrap up in August with a two-night headlining stand at New York City's Madison Square Garden.
