For his latest acting role, Marilyn Manson will play a hitman named Pope in the indie crime drama Let Me Make You a Martyr. The film won't hit theaters until next year, but you can watch the trailer, featuring a silent, bespectacled and occasionally bloodied Manson, now at RollingStone.com.
Let Me Make You a Martyr also stars Mark Boone Junior as Larry, who hires Manson's Pope in the film. Manson and Boone previously worked together on the FX motorcycle drama Sons of Anarchy.
"Mark brought me into the project," Manson tells Rolling Stone. "We were friends from Sons of Anarchy. He's sort of my unwanted mentor. He tells me what to do. He's always encouraged me, but he's very bossy about it. He says things like, 'You gotta do this, motherf*****. You'll like this.'"
Manson recently finished a co-headlining tour with The Smashing Pumpkins, dubbed The End Times tour. At the tour's closing date in Nashville over the weekend, Manson performed his song "Antichrist Superstar" alongside Pumpkins' frontman Billy Corgan, who was dressed as a nun.
