Credit: Sean MurphyWeezer has announced a seven-inch vinyl single featuring a previously unreleased song called "Fake Smiles and Nervous Laughter." The record will be a split single with the indie rock band Wavves, who contributed a cover of the Pinkerton B-side "You Gave Your Love to Me Softly."
The single will be limited to just 2,000 copies -- 1,000 in black and 1,000 in transparent blue. It will be available for pre-order starting Monday, September 12 at noon ET through Wavves' record label Ghost Ramp.
Weezer spent their summer touring the U.S. in support of their latest release, Weezer (White Album).
