The ironic mustache will meet the majestic beard when Weezer teams up with classic rock band ZZ Top for a new Jimmy Kimmel Live! segment called "Mash Up Mondays." The series will feature unlikely one-off collaborative performances by two popular music acts, and Weezer and ZZ Top will take the stage for its first installment as "Wee-Z Top" -- a name coined by host Jimmy Kimmel. The Wee-Z Top episode will air February 2 on ABC at 11:35 p.m. ET/10:35 p.m. CT.
The showcase, which will take place each Monday in February, will also feature HAIM teaming up with funk great Morris Day to form "Morris Day and the HAIM," a play on the name of Day's band, Morris Day & The Time. The sisters Haim will get their funk on during the February 9 episode.
The penultimate "Mash Up Mondays" episode will feature soul star Aloe Blacc collaborating with R&B group Blackstreet as "Aloe Blaccstreet" on February 16. The artists who will perform on the February 23 finale edition of "Mash-Up Monday" haven't been revealed.
