Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo Sings on New Big Data Track, “Snowed In”

Credit: Leo Pia Big Data has released "Snowed In," a new song featuring Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo on vocals. The track will appear on Big Data's forthcoming full-length debut album, 2.0. You can stream the lyric video for "Snowed In" on YouTube.

"Snowed In" is not about the recent #Snowpocalypse, rather, it's about Edward Snowden, who infamously leaked classified documents about the National Security Agency -- NSA -- to the media.

"Rivers and I envisioned the character speaking from the perspective of the NSA, alternating between his own internal monologue and his public statements to the press," says Big Data's Alan Wilkis in a statement. "The character makes assurances that everything will be OK, as if sometimes speaking to himself and sometimes to everybody."

Big Data previously scored a big hit with "Dangerous," featuring the band Joywave. The track reached number one on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.

2.0 will be released on March 24. Big Data will launch their North American headlining tour that same day in New York City.
