Alabama Shakes Announce New Album, “Sound & Color”

Credit: Brantley GutierrezAlabama Shakes have announced the release of their sophomore album. Entitled Sound & Color, the project will be the band's followup to their breakthrough debut album, 2012's Boys & Girls. Sound & Color will be released April 21.

"We took our time to write this record, and I'm really glad we did," says frontwoman Brittany Howard in a statement. "We were able to sit down and think about what's exciting to us. This record is full of genre-bending songs."

In addition to the album announcement, Alabama Shakes have also revealed Sound & Color's first single, "Don't Wanna Fight," which is posted now on the band's YouTube page.

Alabama Shakes will hit the road in support of Sound & Color this spring, starting with a two-night stand at the Beacon Theatre in New York City March 11 and 12. The tour will conclude with a newly-announced headlining show at the legendary Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado.
