Tom DeLonge's post-Blink-182 project Angels & Airwaves has premiered the video for their song "Tunnels."
The video features DeLonge and his band rocking out to the anthemic track as clips from Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker -- an animated short film based on AVA's latest album, The Dream Walker -- play in the background. You can watch the video on Entertainment Weekly's website.
The release of the "Tunnels" video feels like in an exercise in bad timing -- or, perhaps, genius marketing -- as DeLonge is currently involved in a very public disagreement with his Blink-182 band mates, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker. Earlier this week, Hoppus and Barker reportedly released a statement saying DeLonge is no longer in the band, which DeLonge responded to by saying the exact opposite. Since then, Hoppus and Barker have taken to Rolling Stone, calling DeLonge "ungrateful" and "disingenuous," while DeLonge posted another letter reiterating that he never quit Blink-182.
Angels & Airwaves, however, seems to be humming along just fine. Along with the "Tunnels" video, the band has released a preview of the upcoming comic book series also based on The Dream Walker. The first issue will be published on March 25.
Along with the album, the animated short film -- which recently won Best Animated Film at the Toronto International Short Film Festival -- and the comic books, DeLonge has also promised novels and a feature-length live action film as part of the entire The Dream Walker project, all of which are due out sometime this year.
