Coldplay staged a big tour this year in support of their new album A Head Full of Dreams, and they were rewarded for their success on the road at the Billboard Touring Awards, held Wednesday night in Beverly Hills.
The band took home the prizes for Top Draw and Top Boxscore. That first one awards the best-attended tour, while the second is an award for the highest-grossing single engagement by an artist. Coldplay was also a finalist Top Tour category, which awards the top-grossing trek of the year, but they lost out to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
Next summer, Coldplay will embark on another North American tour starting August 1 in New York City.
