Phil HarveyChris Martin attended the funeral of Beau Biden, the son of Vice President Joe Biden, Saturday, performing a song in his honor.
The Coldplay frontman played an acoustic version of "Till Kingdom Come," a track off his band's 2005 album X&Y, during the service in Wilmington, Delaware.
Martin volunteered to perform after learning that Beau Biden was a fan of his music, Delaware's The News Journal reports.
Beau Biden died of brain cancer May 30. He was 46.
