David Draiman Says “Immortalized” Is “Next Level Disturbed”

Credit: Travis ShinnDisturbed has released the second episode of their web series detailing the recording of their forthcoming album, Immortalized. In the episode, which you can watch now on YouTube, frontman David Draiman says that the band's first album in five years will be "next level Disturbed."

"I think that it shows quite a bit of evolution [while] still maintaining our identity and expanding our horizons quite a bit," Draiman says of Immortalized.

Disturbed had been on hiatus since 2011 before Draiman, drummer Mike Wengren and guitarist Don Donegan met up in January 2014 to begin writing material for Immortalized. The session marked the first time the trio had collectively written together since 2001.

"There's definitely some textures in this collection of material that people have not heard from us yet," Draiman says. "I'm very excited to unleash this beast."

Immortalized will be released on August 21. If you pre-order the album, you'll receive an instant download of the lead single "The Vengeful One."
