ABC/Randy HolmesIf you feel like you're hardwired to self-destruct during this stressful holiday season, let Lars Ulrich soothe your nerves with a reading of a classic Christmas tale.

During his appearance on BBC Radio 2 on Tuesday, the Metallica drummer read a book called The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas.

Written by members of the British pop band McFly, The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas tells the story of Danny, a greedy child who learns an important Christmas lesson when a dinosaur eats all of the presents and decorations. From the book's title, you can guess what happens next.

You can listen to Ulrich's rendition of The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas now via the BBC Radio 2 website. Ulrich's tale starts at the 38-minute mark.

Metallica is currently taking a break from the road for the holidays, but they plan to tour the U.S. in support of their new album Hardwired...to Self-Destruct in 2017.
