Fall Out Boy's "Centuries," Bring Me the Horizon's "Drown" and A Day to Remember's "End of Me" will compete for the prize, as will Modern Baseball's "Your Graduation," PVRIS' "St. Patrick" and Set It Off's "Why Worry."
The Best Music Video category was added to the APMAs for this year. The nominees for the remaining categories will be unveiled on March 23. Voting for the APMAs, which can be done at Journeys retail stores and at Journeys.com, also will start March 23.
The 2015 Alternative Press Music Awards will be held July 22 in Cleveland, Ohio. All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat will host the ceremony.
