Fall Out Boy to Perform, Imagine Dragons and Coldplay to Compete on Tonight’s People’s Choice Awards

Tonight's show will mark FOB's first performance on the People's Choice Awards, although they did win Favorite Alternative Band at the 2014 ceremony. Expect them to play a cut from their forthcoming album, American Beauty/American Psycho, which will be released January 20.

As for the rock nominees, Coldplay and Imagine Dragons are both up for Favorite Group. Coldplay had a big year, thanks to their 2014 album, Ghost Stories, and Imagine Dragons continued to ride the success of their breakout debut album, Night Visions. Imagine Dragons will look to have an even bigger 2015 with the release of their sophomore album, Smoke + Mirrors, due out February 17.

Coldplay's Ghost Stories is also nominated for Favorite Album.

The 2015 People's Choice Awards will be co-hosted by Anna Faris and Allison Janney, the stars of the sitcom Mom. Ben Affleck will receive the Favorite Humanitarian award, for his work with the people of the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
